More Money Saving Party Tips

Here are some Party Game Ideas from Abracadabra Entertainmentwww.4TheMagic.com Games Musical Chairs You are going to need several chairs, one less the number of kids that are playing. Line the chairs up in the middle of the room back to back. While playing some music have the kids walk around them in a circle. When the music stops the kids have to rush to sit in a chair. The one child that is left standing is out. Remove one more chair and repeat the game until there are two kids and one chair. The last one standing is the winner. Potato Race Give each of the players a potato and a spoon and have them start at the starting line. The first one to pick up the potato with the spoon and run to the finish line is the winner. Clothes Pin Drop You are going to need a jar. (Peanut butter, mayonnaise etc.) And some clothes pins. Place the jar on the ground, have the kids stand one at a time over the jar and try to drop the clothes pins into the jar. The one who drops the most in wins. Sack Race Have the kids line up at the starting line with both feet inside a pillow case. The one that hops across the finish line first wins Three Leg Race Pair the kids up in twos at the starting line. Standing side by side tie the legs that are next to each other. The pair of kids that gets to the finish line first wins. Tug of War Your going to need a handkerchief, a long piece, and two short pieces of rope. Tie the handkerchief to the middle of the rope. Lay the two short ropes on the ground horizontally about three feet from each other. Make two teams of the kids, each team holding either end of the rope with the handkerchief in between the two short pieces of rope. The team that pulls the handkerchief over their side of the short rope wins. Tag One child is designated to be (it). That child has to tag or touch another child. Who ever gets tagged is (it). Then they have to tag someone else. Freeze Tag Same as above but who ever gets tagged can.t move until someone that is not (it) runs around them three times. The game is over when everybody is frozen. Duck Duck Goose Have the kids sit in a circle. One kid walks around the circle and pats the kids on the head. When he pats each kid on the head he says duck. When ever he wants he pats someone on the head and says goose. When he pats someone on the head and says goose that person has to get up and chase the other around the circle. If the one being chased makes it back around to the other side and sits down in the circle, then the other has to walk around the circle and pat the kids on the head saying duck each time. When ever he wants he may tap some one and say goose but he can not goose the one who just sat down. Back Balloon Bust The first pair to bust a balloon by pressing against it - back to back - is the winning team. Do This - Do That Have everyone stand facing you. When you perform any action and say, .Do this,. everyone is to imitate the motion. When you perform an action and say, .Do that,. anyone who copies is out of the game. Water Balloon toss Divide the group into pairs. Each pair of kids stands facing each other. Once successfully tossing the water balloon back and forth they are both to take one step backward. The pair that gets the farthest apart with out their balloon braking wins. Thank you from Abracadabra Entertainment   www.4TheMagic.com ...read more

Party Planning Made Easy

Here at Abracadabra Entertainment, we know how important it is for every party to be a hit. Throwing a successful party need not be expensive or exhausting, and the memories it will create will last a life time. Depending on the extent of your plans a party can take anywhere from a day up to a month or more to plan and prepare. So move at a non-stressful pace and allow yourself time. Include friends and family to help plan and prepare for the party. Estimate a budget that suits your family. Figure out the cost per guest, usually three favors each is plenty. The easiest way to keep the price down is to make as much as you can yourself, from the invitations to the decorations, favors, and food. Prepare food well in advance to prevent being trapped in the kitchen while your guests arrive. Have an ice breaking activity for the guests as they arrive. As more people show up, open with a game that lets the entire group interact. Plan calm games before refreshments and free play for the final activity. The entertainment is a big part of the party.  You don.t want to schedule it too close to the time of your guests arrival, for the ones running a little late would miss it. Entertainment is best scheduled either before refreshments or at the end of the party. (A quick tip on crafts) When planning crafts for the kids to do at the party, plan well in advance, have everything you need for the number of kids you are expecting. (Plus a couple extra just incase) You could precut everything and put the pieces into individual samwitch bags. That way each child would have his or her own craft kit with everything they need to complete the craft. It.s time consuming at first but it serves two purposes. One, it saves time at the party. Two, It saves on supplies being wasted and lying all over the floor. Prepare a place for the kids to do the crafts. One that is spacious and easy cleaning.
