Once prolactin levels in the body are normalized, this drug can be discontinued after 6 months. However, you might have to reinitiate treatment if prolactin levels increase again. It is essential to do medical tests regularly to monitor the cardiovascular condition in your body when taking this drug. After starting treatment with cabgolin, echocardiographic monitoring is recommended once in every 6 to 12 months.
