My partner and I planned on staying at Flower Hill Farm for our vacation this summer. The owner, Carol Duke, seemed rather flighty and it was difficult to coerce her into giving a direct confirmation concerning lodgings, pricing, etc., but we didn't think that it would cause an issue with our actual stay (once the confirmation was made and the money paid). This turned out to not be the case when we needed to make changes to our reservations. We have 2 months advance notice, but this resulted in her chastising us for the change and demanding an apology for placing this burden on her as a small business. In the end, she refused to follow her own cancellation policy and we lost out on $750. This was the worst reservation experience I've ever had. The owner obviously does not know how to manage and run her business in a professional manner. ...read more
