"There are two products that could really help you: Oil absorbent powder primer and a makeup setting spray. The reason your makeup is not staying put? The oil in your skin causes foundation to dissolve and essentially “disappear” from your face. Our company, Mattify! Cosmetics, sells an oil absorbing powder called Mattify! Ultra which can be used as both a primer (before foundation) and a setting powder (after foundation). When used underneath makeup, the Mattify Ultra Powder will soak up skin oils so they don’t disrupt your foundation. It will also prevent makeup from clogging the pores, leaving you with a clean & fresh complexion. The Ultra Powder is feather light and can be used in conjunction with either liquid or loose mineral makeup, and can even be used as a primer before eye shadow to help it last longer. Once you have applied foundation, apply the Mattify Ultra once more over the top of your foundation. This will ensure longer lasting makeup and a shine-free face. The Mattify Ultra will help any makeup last longer, but if you would like to try a foundation that really lasts all day (12+ hours) try Estee Lauder Max Cover. It’s super high pigment and light weight, and lasts even through swimming or high humidity. This goes for about $29 at department stores or www.esteelauder.com. This may seem pricey for foundation, but a tiny bit goes a long way. It’s very difficult to find drugstore makeup that will last for more than a couple of hours, so high quality foundation is worth the money. If this does not provide enough staying power for your makeup, try a setting spray in addition to the powder. The best one I’ve found is called Model in a Bottle. You mist it on to your face after you’ve applied all of your makeup. It dries within 20 seconds and will give you smudge-free makeup for 8+ hours. Their original formula is very gentle, but in case you have temperamental skin, they also sell a Sensitive Skin formula. You can find this at www.modelinabottle.com for around $18. In case you’re looking for one you can buy at the store, try Urban Decay’s All Nighter Spray. This is sold at most Sephora and Ulta stores for $29, and helps makeup last for 6+ hours. "The only eye makeup I've ever found that actually works to remove waterproof formulas is Cover Girl Clean Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips. I used to spend much of my day in high humidity and in the water, so waterproof makeup was a must. I tried numerous removers (everything from Maybelline to Estee Lauder) and none worked because they are all oil free. Many makeup removers do not contain any type of oil - but in order to remove waterproof formulas, some type of oil must be present, or the makeup does not dissolve. This Cover Girl remover is a cream based lotion which is very gentle to the skin. You apply a small amount to the area of makeup you wish to remove, let it sit for 10 seconds, and the makeup swipes off easily with a tissue. Since this product does contain oil, it is important that you wash your face thoroughly with an oil dissolving cleanser after removing your eye makeup.
