Harrodsburg is the county seat of Mercer County, Kentucky. Harrodsburg is the oldest city in Kentucky and was the first seat of Kentucky County. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, as that is proper etiquette when you are a new patient, only to find the doors locked and the lights off. I called to see if anyone was inside, but when no one answered, my call was directed to the answering machine. That machine informed me that the office wouldn't open until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. This obviously had me confused. I waited outside for 30 minutes and decided to check back in. When I got inside, I told the receptionist that someone accidentally scheduled my appointment for 8:30, when the office doesn't open until 9:00. She responded with, "We open at 8:30 exactly. I've been here since 8:00, and another patient got here at 8:30." Unsure why she was getting so defensive with me, I asked her why the answering machine said they don't open until 9, and she had no answer for me. She told me that there were now two people ahead of me and that she would have to reschedule. I told her not to worry about it and just left. I don't recommend this place. They are unorganized and very unsympathetic. I wasn't even angry with them until they tried to reschedule my appointment. I showed up 5 minutes early, yet I never even got in. The receptionist had no sympathy and acted is if the entire mix up was my fault. I'd never been here before, nor do I plan on coming back. ...read more
