They desire a MINUS 10 rating

RUN, do not walk away from Johnson & Brunetti and their "advisors". They sold us non publicly traded REITS which are HIGH HIGH HIGH RISK; when we asked for LOW risk. They earned a LARGE commission for this. Basically, their "advice" was in THEIR best interests, not ours. Check out their firm and advisors on FINRA, SEC and CT Dept of Banking websites. As of Aug 2016; they are under a CONSENT ORDER from Connecticut (that is not a good thing). Many of their people have multiple complaints against them. We are now stuck with non publicly traded REITS that are VERY difficult to sell, and even if we can; we will incur a LARGE loss. If you don't believe this review; just check out the govt websites listed above!

Regrets

The worst decision I ever made was putting my trust in Johnson & Brunetti. I also was advised to invest in expensive non traded REITs believing their company representative was sincere and looking out for my interests, instead of lining his pockets. How naive I was. Now I am stuck with these investments and am at a loss of how to dispose of them without taking a large hit.

Disappointing Consultation

I recently attended one of the complimentary dinner seminars offered by JohnsonBrunetti and followed up today with the scheduled appointment that was made for me during the dinner. I have been watching Joel Johnson on WFSB for quite some time and have been impressed with his energy, enthusiasm and knowledge of investments, social security, etc. that he shares each week during the broadcast. However, meeting with 'Eric' today was a much different experience. To begin, he was late arriving, and seemed hurried and rushed to be done with our meeting. He kept his cell phone on the table, checking it often, for the entire length of our session, which could not have been more than 20 minutes (my understanding was for a complimentary hour). He did tell me his wife is due to deliver soon, but he just seemed distracted; 'snippy' is the word that comes to mind in his attitude toward me. He asked me a few short questions, quickly looked at my investments and asked what questions I had. I was really put off by his attitude ("Anything else?" was the phrase he kept using). He answered what questions I did have with short, curt statements and overall acted like he could not wait to be done. I asked for a general sense of feedback, which I received in extreme brevity. I left feeling upset and disappointed and could not help wondering if I had brought a lot more valuable investments to the table he would have acted differently. I felt like I had wasted my time, which I am positive he felt like he was doing with me. Based my what happened today, I am not sure the certificates I have for complimentary consultations with the estate planning attorneys or mini tax planning would be different. I could not possibly feel comfortable having someone like Eric manage my investments, feeling like I am an imposition on his very valuable time. I normally would not even take the time to provide this feedback, but felt it only fair that this information should be shared. Thank you.

Over 1,000 CT households served.

Johnson Brunetti has over 1,000 households that are served in CT alone. A clean regulatory record by both CT Securities department and FINRA. Lots of happy clients that continue to refer friends and family and most importantly, the owners own what they recommend. If you want to complain don't be anonymous. Have the dignity to identify yourself.Joel M Johnson, CFP

Yet another scam

This is basically a another shlockhouse. They will do one of 3 things; Put you in an illiquid investment (like a non traded REIT)that charges a 10% commision, or an annuity that will have a 7 year surrender, and ofcourse dont forget the managed account that will charge about 1 1/2% per year (while they do nothing). Beware!
