I have a bill from Med. One in Kokomo, IN that has never been billed to my insurance company and when I asked about the bill they told me that it's an unbillable expense, however I have received the same service from Dr. Klim's office and also Dr. Stronger's office and both have been covered by my insurance company. I was told by my insurance company that if I could the bill submitted for processing they would consider payment, or if I could get a corrected billing code they would cover the labs. Can you please help me with this? When I called the office in Kokomo, I was told that I had to contact you to get any help. Thank You for any help you can provide. I can be contacted at (765) 878-4638. ...read more

When to Use Urgent Care
Urgent care is the delivery of ambulatory care in a facility dedicated to the delivery of medical care outside of a hospital emergency department, usually on an unscheduled, walk-in basis. Urgent care centers are primarily used to treat patients who have an injury or illness that requires immediate care but is not serious enough to warrant a visit to an emergency room. Often urgent care centers are not open on a continuous basis, unlike a hospital emergency room which would be open at all times. In this economy, allergy sufferers are looking for relief from more than sneezing, runny noses, and itchy eyes. And, according to a recent study, they can find relief for both their symptoms and their wallets, saving anywhere from $50 to $400 in out-of-pocket costs per visit if they skip the emergency room and head to urgent care and retail health clinics when they are unable to see their primary physician “When possible, we recommend that our members visit their primary care physicians for non-emergency treatment,” said Dr. Manish Oza, WellPoint medical director and emergency room physician. “If that’s not an option, in cases where patients are looking for treatments related to allergies and colds—such as sinus infections, sore throats, ear infections and bronchitis—it just makes more economic sense to go to a retail health clinic or urgent care clinic.” Wait times for urgent care clinic’s are often found to much shorter than visiting an Emergency Room. Many patients that go to emergency rooms go for the same problems that can be treated at an urgent care clinic.
