Jennifer Parness launched Infinite Horizons Design five years ago out of her home and is hoping to expand into a loft in downtown Rockford within the next year or two. Infinite Horizons is a comprehensive full-service design firm that provides a wide range of design products and design solutions for advertising. Infinite Horizons helps design logos, packaging, web graphics and more. Parness is proud to be self-taught. After graduating from East Troy High School, she went to college for design. Later she became an single mom. While working as an assistant office manager in Big Bend, Wis., she decided to start her own business out of her home. She got her business certificate online and took everything she learned over the years and applied it to her business. In addition to designing logos for letterhead, business cards and stationary, she can design signage, brochures, posters, newsletters and other promotional items. “If you need it, I can design it,” Parness said. Parness has joined with a friend from the Milwaukee area, Gena Kaun. She named the business Infinite Horizons because it reminds her of never ending possibilities. “When I started this business it was my dream, but it was also something to give my kids and myself a better life. If you are open to possibility you are able to achieve things you are not able to achieve,” Parness said. One of the most common requests businesses ask for is help creating an identity or updating an old look. “There are a lot of businesses that have very dated material. We can do project redesigns and update the look of their logo to give it a a modern and updated look,” Parness said. Parness has two children - Amber, 11 and Austin, 5.
