One of the best places to visit when you are in Storm Lake is the Buena Vista County Historical site.

Buena Vista Mutual Insurance Association of Storm Lake and Ida Mutual Insurance Association of Ida Grove have merged their two companies and have become Members Mutual Insurance Association. Their location remains in Storm Lake at 1711 North Lake Avenue, which is the same location as previous Buena Vista Mutual in Storm Lake. Both Buena Vista Mutual and Ida Mutual Insurance Associations originated in 1887 and each had 126 years of experience in the insurance business. In addition, the two Boards of Directors have merged together and have governance over the new company.
