Garrison is a part of the Benton County region/metro area of Iowa. Major attractions include Evergreen Cemetery and Vinton Country Club. Each year in the fall season there is the Wine and Beer Tasting Fall Festival. Among the biggest companies in Garrison are Moser's Wildwood Garden and St Mark's Lutheran Church. The biggest schools here are Union High School and Garrison High School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Garrison is Palace Theatre.
