After excuses being ignored, discriminated and a long waiting (days and weeks) The mitigation action from the office is:Tell the resident that they can not access the apartment because they do not have a copy of the key to get in. (MOST APARTMENT COMPLEX GOT A MASTER KEY BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE) The resident then let them make a copy of his key, around 10 days later they left a roll of paper towels for my friend in the living room and they hope he can dry the carpet and solve the problem. When they where suppose to send a Carpet Cleaner on day 1 to do a water extraction, remove the padding and install some blowers, dehumidifiers and treat the carpet , walls and air ducts if this was necessary. 3 MONTHS LATER.. my friend went to the doctor who send him to the hospital. With high blood pressure, headaches, asma, itchy eyes this is what follow... My poor friend has to rent now a Hotel room thanks to the Management! After we contacted the City of Marietta Code enforcement office.(Obligated by them as the last choice before a pending lawsuit) They are trying now to do something to fix the mold contaminated apartment, and the restoration (construction) work will start soon Meanwhile my poor friend have not been contacted from the leasing office offering apologies or another apartment without mold and he has to stay in a hotel. My recommendation: If you can do your homework, think twice STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY CHECK THIS PICTURES I TOOK THE PICTURES MYSELF: http://s1014.photobucket.com/user/galaxyfloor1/slideshow/Laurel%20Hills%20Moldiest%20Apartments And chek the owner is not a BBB acredited bussines and got an F: http://www.bbb.org/losangelessiliconvalley/business-reviews/property-management/jrk-property-holdings-in-los-angeles-ca-13121606#reasonrating ...read more

Worthmoore Realty

My house closed last Thursday, June 20th. Worthmore Realty, which was the selling agent has still not removed the "for sale" sign or taken the lock box off of my front door. I was at my new home this afternoon (Sunday, June 23) preparing for my move and three (3) people approached the front door thinking that the house was still on the market. I have called their office three (3) times and my real estate agent has called them and sent emails without any response.Worthmore, in my opinion, is not worth a whole lot. The "for sale" sign and the lock box should have been removed from my property by the following day (Friday, June 21) at the very least. They got their money and ran. Not a very professional group. ...read more

PDQ's president/owner, Wanda Galante will mismanage your money, look you in the eye, and smile the whole time. Google her name to see her recent arrest record and the multiple civil suits against her for not disclosing financials for condominium associations she manages. How would you like know that confidential records, checks, invoices, etc. are stuffed in her attic? That, readers, is a fact. A matter of public record. Go to Cobb County Superior Court's website. It's all there. If you have been wronged by PDQ/Wanda Galante, speak up! ...read more

Moving into this place was the worst decision of my life. It was a hassle getting in, and that should have been our first clue. The staff is rude and unhelpful. There were constant problems with things breaking and no one fixing them properly. Our AC was out for most of the summer. There was a crack in our bathtub that flooded my bedroom floor on a regular basis. Because of all the shrubery we would occasionally get bugs in the apartment. Not just little bugs, but two inch cockroaches. We heard every moved the upstairs neighbors made. When we moved out they charged us. We paid it, just ready to be done with the place. They lost the money and now we're having to deal with that, eight months after we've moved out. They were a pain the entire time we lived there. If you want to save yourself some heartache, don't sign that lease. The staff are nice and helpful until they actually get you into a unit. Then they don't care about you at all. ...read more

Costigan Real Estate Group

2.0

By Joe

I tried to sell my home in 2008. Hired Costigan and paid them the $2000 pre-paid yet 75% discounted commission based on a 3% commission. Listed for exactly what the agent they sent recommended, then dropped $30k below their recommendation 3 months in trying to get an offer. It was listed for 6 months. Had probably 50-60 people come by and look at it. Never got an offer. Main reason I don't recommend them is you can't get your money back if they can't sell your home. They were professional and courteous, but they just couldn't sell my home, contrary to all the commercials they ran at the time. At this point I'm $50k upside down, so trying to wait until the market comes back to at least break even before I list again. Screwed me quite bad that they couldn't sell the place. ...read more

This is by far the worst place I have ever lived... EVER! The management and maintenance are absolutely terrible. I have had numerous leaks in the bathrooms and kitchen. They are absolutely awful about fixing things. They do everything half --- to save money. They don't fix the cause of the problem just what needs to be done to look better until it is a problem again. The people who work and run the office are rude and unprofessional. I am currently looking for another apartment and every other community in the area has something terrible to say about this development. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!! There are serious bug problems and I am a very clean, neat person. The buildings are old and slowly falling apart. Move anywhere but here! ...read more

They send a smooth talking guy to bind a contract. A job is finished in a rush by Mexican and then with a first rain, all hell break loose and it took them 1.5 years to attempt to fix it and the fixing took more than 3-4 months. Once one got getting fixed, couple other places started leaking and each place took more than 4-5 visits to fix. All leaks are not fixed yet and inside the house's damage to the pain, ceiling, sheet rock are not fixed. The ceiling that they fixed has a belly. Their workers put few holes that were supposed to be 2 inch so I can get a plug for each hole and run wires through them. The holes are much bigger than 2 inches and smaller than 3 inches, so no plugs fit them. Couple episodes ago, one of the workers who felt sorry for our patients and the fact that the company has taken advantage of us for almost 4 years, suggested that I sue them. The next day, one of their guy with suit came and started the flat roof and last week, the owner sends me a bill for the leak repair. After 4 years of taking my money and causing more than $100,000 damage to the structure of my house, he is sending me a bill so I would not call and ask them when they are coming to fix the inside and other leaks? My next encounter will be in court and I will complain to the Better Business Bureau this week. And for as long as I am alive, I will be the voice for the people who are taking advantage of by Hicks Roofing, the thieves. ...read more

They are worse in their business. They farm out the contract to illegal aliens who do not have any training and when the job goes bad, they blame them. My house has sustained damages around $30,000-$40,000 and the owner sent me a bill for taping the area that they did not fix. I am taking him to the court and at the end, he will have to file for bankruptcy. Do not deal with these thieves. ...read more

When I moved in my rental home, it was disgusting. It was very dirty and they expected me to pay to have the carpets cleaned when I moved out. The air conditioning unit was older than I was (by 3 years). The A/C never worked and they refused to replace or repair it. For this reason, I paid almost $300 a month during the summer for electricity for a 1 bedroom condo! DO NOT RENT from these people. They do not care about their tenents at all. ...read more

As a chiropractor for 21 years, I have known a number of landlords. I have been a tenant at Paper Mill Village since 2001, and HW bought the complex several years ago. HW has done some nice touches around the complex, making it quite attractive. Any time I ever have an issue (such as a roof leak a few weeks ago), that roof was fixed by the next day. This is a great spot to practice chiropractic in! Dr. Drew Rubin, President/Owner of Rubin Family Chiropractic. ...read more
