First, let me say I have never written a review online for any positive or negative experience, but anyone looking for a new nail salon should know this. I have going there for at least 2-3 years. I've never had a problem but if I ever mentioned any small thing they always blamed me for it, but still, I was fine with that. So 2 days ago I got a manicure with Vinyl polish. By the next day the "natural" color had turned somewhat brown so I stopped by to show Jackie and she agreed and told me to come in today to get the polish changed. While there the technician suggested I do gel instead of regular so I asked what the price difference would be and Jackie checked with the management and told me $10.00 so I proceeded with the gel. The girl ask me how long it had been since my last manicure...stating my cuticle needed some work. I told her I had been right there 2 days ago. She trimmed my cuticle, polished my nails and I went to pay. Jackie advised me that I owed $25.00 instead of $10.00 because I had rec'd a manicure and used gel. I then asked for a refund from the original manicure since the first girl did such an inadequate job. She told me that was just tough. So, not only did I receive a subpar manicure initially, but they wanted me to pay full price for the correction. I have seen them treat other people like this but it had never happened to me. Jackie was the one delivering the message because, I assume Mandy (some sort of manager) was not professional enough to confront me. After having a particularly frustrating and discriminatory experience at a salon called Nail Perfection on Holcomb Bridge Road in Alpharetta, my bank manager referred me to Alpha Nail. I explained to the owner what I'd gone through trying to get a quality pedicure and she took me in like a lost child who needed a warm meal. It was a wonderful feeling....and the pedicure remains memorable. Not because my technician took her time and treated my feet as I imagine she would treat her own but because they changed my mood/day from "hellish" to "angelic". I left their salon feeling uplifted and invigorated and thoroughly pleased with the job they did...the way every woman wants to feel after a spa pedicure. My first time was my last time! After soaking my feet and clipping the nails, the technician was ready to apply the polish! I stopped her and asked if they were going to scrub my heels, cut the cuticles, and cleaning under the nails. A dispute about the quality of pedicures ensued, during which time I was asked to pay before they finished. I informed them that I would pay for everything but the pedicure until it was done. The owner chose to call the police instead. Once the police arrived, I was near tears. They informed me that my complaint should be filed with BBB and that after "pleading my case", the owner would not complete my pedicure OR remove the cost of the pedicure from my full balance. When I asked why I was being charged for a SPA pedicure when I didn't receive one, the owner said SPA referred to the chair not the services for my feet.
