I have been to Dr. Rutledge on several occasions over the years for a few different problems and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable. He and his staff have always been polite and courteous. I was impressed that Dr. Rutledge took the time to explain the conditions to me in a way that I was able to understand. From my previous experiences with other Physicians, I have sometimes left more confused that when I arrived. I respect the fact that he explained all of the different treatment options before giving his recommendations. He then let me choose the treatment option I wanted. Each visit, he was able to immediately identify my issues and resolve them with various treatments. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Rutledge and his staff and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him. ...read more

The care is poor and he shows little concern for his patients. He does not treat you as a customer/patient, rather a inconvenienced number. During a recent visit, Dr Malave took a phone call during the middle of my appointment! I could hear him laughing on the phone in his office next to my exam room. Then rather than reading my chart/file, he walked back in and asked me why he prescribed medication or ultrasounds for me. Only five minutes later, he asked the same question again. He does not seem to know what he is doing. He said "everything looks good" and I asked about a problem that was noticed by the ultrasound tech. He said "it should be fine". I asked if there was anything I could do to fix the problem like drink more water. He said "you might try that". Competency seems to be lacking. He had scheduled me for another test, so I was surprised when he said "that's all for today". When I questioned him, yet again, he said "oh, I will have the nurse prep you for the test".Stay away! ...read more

at best an inept, incompetent "practice". Lights on but No one home. Refused Blue Cross Blue Shield of Fl. after they let me wait over 2 weeks from date of my primary physicians referral and ESTABLISHED appt date. This "business enterprise" did not communicate regarding refuseal of my insurance carrier, with either my referring physician, or me the patient, although their clerks booked the appointment. They let me fill out their four (4) pages to guarantee payment, with ONLY one (1) line allowed for "clinical history"and generous room allotted for entries for potential Rx drugs they assume a person would be locked into and taking. Then they inform me -- "oh we do not accept BCBS (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Fl)". What a scandelous "business" and not a bonafide medical practice at all. NO MEDICAL CONSIDERATION, OBVIOUS AND APPARENT ONLY INTERESTED IN LINING THEIR POCKET BOOK. THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL DOCTOR BUT A MONEY GRUBBING ENTERPRISE. B E W A R E! ...read more
