This is GREAT place where student with special needs are encouraged to do their best and they are not lumped into one category by grade level, but rather, are classified according to skill. There may be multiple ages in one classroom so no child feels like they are the ones who are behind. In the 3 years my son has been there, I've seen many students graduate and grow who would have otherwise been dropouts. The staff is encoruaging and thoughful and do their best to help every student. Yes, they've moved a couple of times in the past couple of years, but only to bigger and better places as their capacity grows. They are now in an actual schoolhouse where there is lots of space and encouragement and I don't foresee a move in the near future. I'd rather have a good school who works with each individual student's abilities who moves a couple of times than a school who doesn't care where the kids have no room to grow and are limited. A great school in all capacities. i ...read more

My son has been with GBA for 3 years now and he has grown a lot academically. He could not function in the public school system because they didn't have enough people for his special needs to assist him. GBA, being a smaller school, has smaller classrooms with more individualized attention. The classrooms are not based on grade level, but on each child's ABILITY and where they stand; there are multiple ages in each classroom so the child does not feel he or she is out of place because they might be lacking in one particular area. I've seen kids grow and excel where they were ready to drop out of regular public school because they couldn't keep up. They work with each individual child's skills and stengths and improve where the child may be lacking. EVERY child is special at GBA and they are made aware of their own special talent and uniqueness,. If your child has special needs, GBA is a great place for him/her to excel and feel a sense of accomplishment. ...read more
