No after sales service when ordering parts. Purchased 2 springs but when the box was delivered there was only one.. One fell out due to lousy packing.. Contacted the company and they said that I would have to wait until UPS pays claim. That was 6 months ago..Never received the other spring or any credit. Be carefull using this company , the answering machine says that they are all about the customer, don't believe it.. ...read more

The Balancing Act Lifetime with Yvonne Boice, a Motivational Speaker

The following segment aired on The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television. Joining the show wasYvonne Boice, a motivational speaker and entrepreneur to discuss how women can overcome their obstacles to success.   The Balancing Act LifetimeTelevision Host Danielle Knox: It can be tough for women in both business and life to achieve goals sometimes. Many young women want success and they’ve got the passion and the brands, but they need to be empowered. So how do we overcome obstacles to success and find the right networking groups and mentors to help us grow, both personally and professionally? And what does it take to be a successful leader?   Boice:You need to have the confidence that you can do it and that you can achieve your goals.  The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television:How did you achieve your financial success and what have you done with all that you’ve gained?   Boice:After my husband passed away 15 years ago, I was left with a 70,000 square-foot shopping center that I had to learn how to maintain and lead to success. That wasn’t my field of expertise. I needed to learn the business because that was my only source of income and if I didn’t learn that, I wasn’t going to succeed in life.   The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television:You had a pretty incredible experience when you went to Abu Dhabi. Tell The Balancing Act viewers about that.   Boice:I chair the Palm Beach International Film Festival and when I was in Abu Dhabi, the Moroccan Delegation came and asked me if I had any thoughts on how women could be better portrayed in film, in a better light, in their country of Morocco. I came up with an idea of having a contest and so I went and spoke at the Marrakech Film Festival and offered this contest to the filmmakers. I followed a filmmaker who said that women in Morocco had always been portrayed as victims. That is the way it has always been and that is the way it was going to continue to be.   The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television:This conversation and that man’s remarks is what introduced you to the truth about how women were portrayed in films in Morocco?   Boice:At that point, all of my prepared remarks went out the window and I thought, ladies, you do not have to believe this. This is not the truth about women and you do not have to believe what he has to say, nor do you have to accept it because we do not have to be victims.   The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television:We know you’ve done a lot of great things. You’ve received a lot of accolades and I know sometimes it’s tough to talk about all the great things you’ve done. But please share some of it with The Balancing Act viewers.   Boice:I’ve just been named to the national trust of the National Endowment for the Humanities in Washington, D.C. and that’s been a great thing because out new project is called ‘Picturing America’ and it goes into all of the schools around the country. It’s marvelous because it tells the history of our country through pictures for our school children. A few months ago, I was given the President’s volunteer award for volunteering over 4,000 hours in the community.   The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television:Everywhere you go, you’re so easy to relate to. Why do you think that is and what do you think makes you a successful motivator?   Boice:Because I have traveled to 150 different countries and because I own a travel agency, I find that women, regardless of where we go in the rest of the world, all have the same wants and desires. We all want peace on this earth, we all want a better life for our children and our grandchildren, and we want to help other women to succeed. That is what it’s all about- giving back to one another.   The Balancing Act LifetimeTelevision isthe only morning show in America produced by women specifically for women.
