Accidently turned into the wrong neighborhood today, and very unfortunately it was Carmel by the Lake-- a very narrow two-lane driveway, gated, a brick wall on one side, and boulders lining the grass on the other. NO TURN AROUND AREA. I ended up scratching up the front bumper of my brand new, 2 month old car, considerably. The place is great as well as the residence of the community, but when it comes to management it sucks big time. The manager thinks she is the owner of the property and she gives favortisim to whom she wants. She suppose to be doing a job which she closes her eyes on others. Back round check include everything but yet she allowes illegal alians to live on ground. Some units are rented and the owner don't want pets but she rents her friends who do have pets and owner is not told. She has no PR knowledge. The ASSociation on the other hand think they are the DICtatores of the property. Meeting you are an owner can not talk and if you do they find a way to shut you up. Oxford Square Apartments

While certianly not a *bad* deal, oxford can sometimes leave things to be desired. Lived there almost two years and had several problems with them. Chains block the only way into the inner apartments, making moving heavy or multiple objects a royal pain, and if you try to get maintenance to come and open them they ignore you. Office staff forgets to call you back frequently. Tennis courts are in need of repair and 2nd pool needs a healthy dose of chemicals.
