East Side Pizza

East Side Pizza was once our favorite place to go as a family. We've been there numerous times and usually had good service and great pizza.\t\n\t\nHowever, tonight (2/22/11) was completely different. We walked in and were offered an available booth. We soon noticed the strong smell of urine coming from my side of the booth.\t\n\t\nMy wife flagged down the waitress who informed us that she was aware of the smell from our booth and that it was from a "regular" customer who always required frequent cleaning and bleaching to each seat she utilized. She said they were afraid to clean it thoroughly in fear of the bleach negatively affecting other customers. \t\n\t\nWe requested to be moved and were sat on the other side of the restaurant. However, the stench lingered and we noticed that my clothing was soiled from the seat.\t\n\t\nThe pizza had already been ordered, unfortunately. We requested to speak with the manager. She apologized, stated that she had been aware of the issue, and provided us two 20% off coupons, one to use now and another to use when we come back.\t\n\t\nWe won't ever be back. The staff was aware of the health hazard before we were sat and did nothing until we had complained. The booth should have been cleaned thoroughly or roped off. The bathrooms were nasty, as well, with the similar stench.\t\n\t\nI know this won Hampton Road's "Best" in previous years but our experience tonight killed it for us. They didn't take responsibility for this problem and knowingly exposed us to bodily fluids.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! A tad croweded seating, but it gives you that warm home feeling that you don't get at other places! Prices are fair for the economy and service is usually fantastic!! My wife and I simply LOVE the wings, kids love the pasta! Salads are HUGE and they will adjust it to your liking, try to find that anywhere else! The Pizza is killer! If you have not been here, it is worth a stop, I bet you will be back!!

No joke-- we go twice a week. The food is great, the specials are awesome and the portions are always generous, so we leave with leftovers. Look for coupons in circulars. The service is good, alot of the waitresses have been there for years and we know many by name. Maria is perenially seated behind the register and always has a perky "hello!" The only staff NOT inviting is the owner. What's up with that guy?! And why does his father yell at the waitstaff like that? Who wants to hear that across the restaurant? Go figure that the owners are the only aspect that bring the restaurant down. Still great food, great service, great value.

Being a New Yorker, I am pretty picky about my pizza. Once I found this place I was feeling like I was back home again. I thought I would never find sicilian pizza again. Ya gotta try the sicilian it is to die for. Just one thing please please next time I order put the little cups on the top of the pie. My last night order all that wonderful cheese was stuck on top of the box. Very dissapointing. Great place, Check out the sicilian you won be sorry.

I just love the pizza, the crust is the best i've tasted from Vermont down to Florida. I go on a week-day, at an off time, its fast, very good and quiet. I usually look for coupons, as the pizza is a little higher priced, and being retired,i look for good deals. Will be seeing you in the near future.

Food's great and portions are huge. You can split most things so your money goes a loong way. The food is fresh. Most of the servers have been there for years and they get to know you as regulars. Ask for Sophia, she'll take care of you.

Worth every penny! I would definitly recommend this place to anyone who likes italian food... Everything is good! If you like pizzas with lots of toppings definitly go all out here! There toppings are scrumptious! Hope this was a help!

We've been going to East Size Pizza since as far back as I can remember. It is our favorite spot to eat. The food is great and the atmosphere is right on point. -Matter of fact... I think we'll stop in tonight.
