About Columbus, OH
Columbus is capital and largest city in the state of Ohio. Annual festivities in Columbus include the Ohio State Fair (one of the largest state fairs in the country) as well as the Columbus Arts Festival and the Jazz and Ribs Festival, both of which occur on the downtown riverfront. Columbus is the home of two public colleges: The Ohio State University, the largest college campus in the United States, and Columbus State Community College. Columbus City Schools (CCS), formerly Columbus Public Schools, is the largest district in Ohio, with 55,000 pupils. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is world renowned for its collections that include lowland gorillas, manatees, Siberian tigers, cheetahs, and kangaroos.
