I walked into this establishment with my baby and my father after a long day walking around in the chilly weather. A rotund, middle aged man looked up when we asked for a table, and without smiling, told us in a near whisper that he had no tables and that the place was all filled up. I was astounded upon hearing this because the place was no packed at all that evening around dinner time. I was able to see at least four empty tables from where I was standing; albeit, not standing at a vantage point where I could view the entire seating area of the restaurant. :( I'm not sure if it was the fact that we are an Asian family, or if it was not wanting an infant to disturb the ambiance, but I most definitely felt this host (owner?) was stupendously rude and I made sure to say so loud enough for him to hear. ...read more

I have been a Culinary arts trained Chef.I have worked for some of the most important 4 star New York Times rated restaurants!! I eat there almost everyday. I work downtown waterbury. The food is great its fresh and reasonable. The salads are great! Catfish is fantastic and the omlets are big and fresh. Went there the other day for Breakfast had to be the worst ever. I ordered a Wetern Omelette my Wife had Eggs which she asked for over Hard. When our food finally arrived we waited at least a good 15-20 mins and there was no one in there. My omelette had no ham in it they put it on top the omelette itself was brown and hard on the outside and runny inside,my wifes eggs were over medium at beast,our toast was cold and the min-tater tots they try to say are hashbrowns were nasty. In addition the coffee was terrible and servie was worse the waitress must have seen we were unhappy as most of the food was still on the plate. Just another Fly-by-nite resturant. With lousy food,bad service and the prices they charge,I will be amazed if they make it 6 months. We waited for the new "Farm to Table" organic Resturant to open,First off they said there hours are 6-2 well they are not they open at 8am. Second I ordered New England Clam Chowder it arrived with chunks of frozen whatever it was supposed to be,which leads me to belive there is nothing fresh about the soup,I asked the waitress if they are Farm Clams or from the Ocean she replies"I don't no" Third it had big pieces of bacon in it,I don't eat bacon and I have never had a Clam Chowder with bacon it in.When I complained to the waitress she said "Well that's how we make it here"Needless to say I didn't touch it,when my bill came I was shocked to see they charged me for it. There is nothing special about this place too overpriced for nasty food and to top it off I had to pay for my own parking,I will never go back there again and I will be sure to spread the word about this sub-standard place!!!! ...read more
