About Ledyard, CT
The town of Ledyard, named after Revolutionary War Col. William Ledyard, is located on the Thames River in New London County, Connecticut, in the Norwich-New London metro area. Major attractions include the Foxwoods Resort Casino, which is run by the Mashantucket Pequot tribe and the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center. Each year in September, the Ledyard Fair is held here. Among the largest employers in Ledyard are Electric Boat Corp. and Pfizer. Ledyard is home to four elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. One of the best places to visit when you are in Ledyard is Nathan Lester House & Farm Tool Museum, listed on the National Historic Register and where you'll find a farm museum and 100 acres with trails.
