Barkhamsted is a part of the Litchfield County area of Connecticut and is composed of six villages. those six villages are West Hill, Mallory, Riverton, Pleasant Valley, Center Hill, and Washington Hill. Major attractions include the Saville Dam in the Barkhamsted Reservoir and the People's State Forest which houses the Stone Museum.
