On August 15, I took my car to the South location of Tire World Auto Repairs to have new tires put on the front of my car. On August 26, while my wife was driving, the brakes failed. After getting the brake fluid soaked tire off, I noticed that the brake hose that connects to the caliper has been worn through from rubbing on the tire. I posted a video to Twitter and called them out on what happened. I also posted the video on Facebook where 2 mechanics I know immediately saw the issue of the the brake hose being routed incorrectly. I fault Tire World for not noticing the mistake and bringing it to my attention. Their tech(s) spent several minutes in that area of the car with the tire removed and failed to notice and/or mention the issue to me. When my wife asked Vince about it, his response was that his tech must have just missed it. While I'm thankful that no one was injured, I'm appalled by the company's negligence and unwillingness to do anything to make the situation right. ...read more
