Comfy sofa's and recliners. Alcohol in the theatre that you don't have to sneak in. Waiter service so you don't have to get up. What more can you want when watching a movie? Steep ticket prices but worth it for the comfort. They need to open more locations. ...read more

The Pasadena Playhouse is one of Pasadena's treasures, and now it's shuttered. Chronic financial problems. Hopefully they can reorganize their debt and reopen. \t\nIn recent years they were doing a good job with outreach to the community. They had great programs for kids. But the plays that were produced were sometimes hit or miss. If you were a subscriber, you didn't know if you were going to get world class theatre, or walk out holding your nose. \t\nPlease know, however, that the community is rooting for the Playhouse to make a comeback.
