6/11/2012 I am not one to usually write reviews, but I had a terrible experience at this office I felt compelled to share. I have very little experience with plastic surgeons and this left me with an awful taste. I went in for a consult and was given 48 hours to decide if I wanted to take a procedure date. In that time, I asked for two things: 1) a copy of the study that was recently done re: this procedure and 2) a couple patient reviews from patients that had had this particular procedure in this office. The second request caused massive confusion. I was sent a link that did not contain the information I was looking for and when I pointed that out, I was told I was not comfortable having this procedure and I could not be a patient at this office. I was given no explanation. Just a curt email. I have subsequently met 2 other ladies who have gone in for consults there for the same procedure I was investigating with Dr. Spring - they both had nothing nice to say. Sad. ...read more

I have heard good things about Dr. Stevens- my consult and the other ladies consults were with Dr. Spring. The patient coordinator Katie Jo would not give any further information, other than I was not welcome as a patient there. It was offensive and disappointing. I ended up getting the procedure I wanted on the exact same day I was booked to get it at the Marina office at a Beverly Hills office and not only did I receive the best patient care and was treated with respect, but every question I had was answered patiently and I received the results I was looking for! So it turned out great in the end. But it was an awful patient experience at the Marina with Dr. Spring and Katie Jo. Awful. ...read more

I too thought this guy was a good attentive doctor and I trusted him. Because of my faith in him, my wife died. We had been seeking help for years on stomach/throat issues. We were continuously told it was nothing but heartburn. As these symptoms grew into bigger issues his concern grew less. At one point I had told him that her brother had died of cancer and that I was worried, he wasn't. This went on for several years. She was losing weight, she was anemic, her stomach was making strange sounds, she had back and chest pain and he told us to take tums. Her gynecologist even called him and told him something was wrong, he still didn't order any tests to find out what was wrong. He finally ordered a upper gi exam which he told me wouldn't cost too much. I questioned that statement wondering why he was concerned about the cost, we did have health insurance. He told us the test was clear and to take tums. She then developed a fever and he said it was the flu, after it persisted for three weeks he didn't take notice. Finally I knew I wasn't going to get any help from him, I took her to an emergency room. She was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. She died two months later. Had he ordered an endoscopy three years earlier, my family wouldn't be grieving right now. I believe his major concern was saving the medical group money by not doing the tests that cost more. There are other areas where he missed as well. She had several risk factors for this disease that he wasn't aware of. My advise, pay for the tests yourself. It's too late for me, I learned the hard way. My beloved wife of 35 years and mother of my children is gone. and as for his staff, which is a miserable woman named Linda, she made me feel I was a nuisance while my wife was dying of cancer. She hates people and has the compassion of a rattlesnake.. You can email me at tupapaau@sbcglobal. n e t ...read more

Easy, quick, got what I needed. I don't understand some of the negative reviews -- why give a low rating because you had to pay $5 to park, or you didnt like using a parking token, or the doctor didn't smile enough. This is an urgent care clinic. By definition, they need to treat people quickly and efficiently. They need to get to the point, treat the patient and get on to the next patient. if they get that done, I can't ask for more. ...read more

This is one of the worst doctors I have ever been to. He does a complete disservice to his patients by not taking any notes. Every session felt like the first session because he is so forgetful on top of his poor note taking! He lost my records at one point. He made about 3 copies of my insurance card because he kept losing the copies. He sometimes would be late for appointments and he would also spent the first 20 minutes of the appointment checking his messages. Also, the office is a real mess. \t\n\t\nThe biggest thing was he wrote me a prescription without any refills. After a week of calling him, my pharmacy calling him daily to no response, not having any meds for a week (not good!), and him being 20 minutes late to my appointment, I decided I had enough. I called my general practitioner who thankfully wrote a prescription for me and filled it within the day. I will be seeing a new psychiatrist, hopefully I can get someone who treats me seriously. ...read more

I have been to Clear Medical about 3 times. The last time , I had Botox and Radiesse. They "water down" the Botex , so effects are not as dramatic ( so you purchase more) and the Doc has no eye for using fillers. I spent close to $900.00 and look worse then I walked in! I am so sad i have to wait a year to get my face back! The way he injected the filler makes me look like I gained 20 lbs! Horrible!! ...read more

With a possible torn muscle in my rotator cuff I was referred by my physician (simply because of location) to see Dr. Nicola. I have been attempting to make an appt with this man for the past 4 days. It seems it would be easier and more welcoming to secure a time w/ Obama at the White House. I have left 3 messages just to make an appt. No one calls me back. Finally I called again today and actually got a human on the phone (I think she was human) Her name was Jennifer. Jennifer would not allow me to schedule an appt without a copy of my Dr's referral in her hand (although it was in MY hand) My Dr's office faxed over a copy...and although they had receipt that it went thru multiple times, Jennifer still claimed she didn't have it. My Dr's asst pleaded with Jennifer, "PLEASE let this woman just make an appt, she is in tremendous pain & we are vouching for her!!" Jennifer could not have been more apathetic, rude & uncooperative...she just kept repeating "sorry its Drs policy"... ...read more

Two months ago, Dr Shawn performed Radiasse on my cheeks and mouth lines, I am very happy with the results. My friends saw a nice change but they couldn't figure out if I have done a facial or why my skin was glowing. He has the magic touch to make you look amazing. Kelly (the office manager) is always helpful and understands the business really well. I am going back for my botox treatment next week:) ...read more

Am I the best one to help save your relationship?

I imagine it’s really hard and maybe a little bit scary for you to decide what marriage counselor to go to. You may feel that marriage counseling is your last hope and you may also know of people who went to a marriage counselor and they felt the marriage counselor did more harm than good. I’m going to briefly tell you about me and how I work so that you have enough information to determine if I’m the one that’s most likely to be able to help you to save your relationship. For over 20 years I’ve specialized in saving relationships that were on the verge of ending even when only one person still wanted the relationship to work and even when they had no hope that it could be saved. I am happy to help you to rescue your relationship. It’s my passion to save relationships, to keep families together and to make the relationship work for both people. You probably know of people who went to marriage counseling and it wound up ending their relationship. When a relationship is in crisis, it’s in a very delicate state. Marriage counseling is not neutral. If done correctly it can make the difference between saving your relationship and your relationship ending. If done incorrectly, it can push the relationship over the edge. All marriage counselors have their biases. Some marriage counselors think that if a relationship isn’t working, a person should get out. They’ll tend to guide an individual or couple in that direction. I think of them as relationship enders. In my experience, that first session with a couple, especially when a person has already told their partner they want to break up, is a very delicate, critical time. As a Relationship Saver, I find that it’s useful to assume that the leaving partner is one step away from leaving for good. If I’m wrong, no harm. If I’m right, then I will proceed with a caution that can help that couple to have a turning point. What I do in the first session with you: The first session is what I call the “Relationship Breakthrough Session.” Here’s what happens in that session. First I want to hear briefly from you where you are right now in the relationship. Because I’ve been doing this for over 20 years, it doesn’t take me long to get enough information to understand what we’re dealing with. Then, I help you create a vision of how you would like your relationship to be. Then we look at the obstacles that are keeping that from happening. I proceed in that first session to give you a step by step plan of the skills and solutions I’ll be giving you to maximize the possibility of making this relationship work for both of you and of keeping your family under one roof. I’ll end that session by giving you specific next steps you can take to make things better. Usually, the person that was wanting to end the relationship leaves that session feeling hopeful, because they have begun to see the possibility that with my help this relationship really can work for them. Can your relationship be saved? If you’re like many people who’ve contacted me for help, you might be thinking that it’s just too late to save your relationship and that there’s so much accumulated hurt and resentment that you fear it’s beyond saving. So, can your relationship be saved? In my experience, most relationships end unnecessarily and the breakup could have been prevented with the right kind of help. If your partner isn’t willing to go to a marriage counselor with you, is your relationship doomed? Here’s my question for you. How many people in a relationship does it take to save the relationship?  Obvious answer, right? It takes two people to save a relationship. Of course. Right?…WRONG! It takes a minimum of one person to rescue a relationship. In my private practice, with so many of the relationships I’ve helped, including the ones that were in crisis when I first got involved, I’ve only worked with one person. They took what I gave them and successfully stopped their breakup and reconciled their relationship. I would have been happy to work with them as a couple. It just wasn’t an option because their partner wasn’t willing to join us in the process. I’m a realist. I have a mission to help you to save your relationship and to keep your family under one roof. I work with what I have to work with. In my 20 plus years as a relationship saving marriage counselor, I have helped to save lots of relationships where only one person got my direct help. Free in depth first session with me Again, you are welcome to call me. I’m glad to speak with you and answer any questions you have. If I think from that brief conversation that I’m the best one to help you, I will offer you an in-depth “Relationship Breakthrough Session” with me. It tends to run an hour and fifteen minutes and there is no charge for that session. If you like what you’re reading then please visit our site:  http://saveyourrelationship.com ...read more
