By Angelica B at Customer Lob September 02, 2013
I came into this urgent care for the first time last week with a flu, and left satisfied. I definetly reccomend this urgent care if you want to been seen quick, with the same effective care you would get from a hospital. ...read more

Medical Advice
Healthcare choices are becoming more complex. I know...I am a physician. Having a personal health care advisor and advocate can be a tremendous help. A medically educated advocate can review your entire situation, give you ideas about alternatives, explain complex procedures, point out risks and benefits, keep family members informed and in the loop, etc. "Isn't this the role of my family doctor?" Sometimes that is the case, sometimes not. Patients rarely get more then 10-15 minutes with their doctor per visit. That is NOT enough time to listen, review, research, and construct comprehensive guidance. About.com has a nice summary of what a medical advocate can do for people. http://patients.about.com/od/caringforotherpatients/tp/Choose-a-Patient-Advocate Feel free to ask me questions about advocacy on this blog, as well. Or, for a more complete review of how advocacy works, you can look at my website at Informed Health Advocacy. http://www.informedhealthadvocacy.com/index.html I'd love to hear from people about advocacy! ...read more
