We sent our antique sewing machine (attached to a beautiful wooden table) in for repair in October. Now, just before Xmas, after several phone calls where the repairman encouraged us to leave the machine for "a little longer" to figure out what was wrong, we finally gave up and went into the store to take our machine back. The furniture is ruined. Deep scratch marks cover the outside and inside of the table flap. We cannot believe how disrespectfully our lovely piece of furniture was treated, and after two months, the sewing machine was not even fixed. We will never again do business with this store. We are deeply suspicious that they kept "delaying" the pickup of the machine either because they hoped we'd forget about it and they would keep the antique, or because they had so badly damaged the original wood that our great grandmother kept in pristine condition for years. Big Lots

Personally, I think Big Lots is a pretty good store. I mean, it is what it is...It's not a high-end store with high-end merchandise, but for quick in and out shopping for things like cleaning and paper products, candles, and inexpensive picture frames, it's great! And if you want some really good prices on DVD movies, Big Lots is the place! Most are $ 3.00 - $5.00, and there is quite a large selection. The only thing is, be prepared to take some time in looking through them, because they are not in any particular order or sectioning. If I did have to say one negative thing about the Big Lots store in particular the Dublin store, it would have to be that there seems to never be any employees on the floor to help you if you can't find certain items. Usually I only see the employees working at the check out counters. But other than that, I've always found it to be quite satisfactory. ...read more
