I will start off by saying I am always sceptical when it comes to dealing with contractors and buying carpet/flooring. We went through bids from 4 companies to pull out carpeting and replace with wood floors over about 1,500 square feet. Coles and MJ did the best job at explaining the process. However, Nick at MJ in Carlsbad was hands down more innovative and solution oriented than Coles. Coles wanted to square off rounded corners by cutting our travertine tile and wanted significantly more money for the moisture barrier installation. It appears as though the install people at Coles set up all the rules and the sales people have no influence. Not the case at MJ. MJ material measurements were higher than the others so we cut back our order to match up the square footage with other plans and it turned out the other firms measured more accurately. I went to the showrooms in San Marcos and Carlsbad. I was very impressed with the quality and price of their product as well as the knowledge of their staff. They gave me complimentary design service as well as free measurements and estimates. I would gladly do business with MJ Flooring Center & Design again. ...read more

I got new wood, tile and carpet from MJ Flooring. The sales staff was very good and helped me designed the look in my house and gave me a better price then anyone in San Diego. Their installers were very nece, detail oriented and fast. I would recommend MJ Flooring to anyone who is looking for a great experince. ...read more
