Xelon Corporation

1.0

By MRO Electric and Supply

I would strongly urge anyone to avoid doing business with Xelon Corporation / eWarehouse. They do not pay their invoices on time and are very difficult to deal with. We sold $7,250.00 worth of items to Xelon Corporation on 7/17/15 under terms of Net 30. Walter Simpson was the purchasing agent who placed the order with us. The items were delivered to Xelon Corporation on 7/20/15. After 30 days, we received no payments on the open invoice, so on 9/2/15 our accounting spoke to Walter Simpson to see what the payment status was, and he said there was a check being mailed next week. Several weeks passed and we still did not receive any checks in the mail. On 9/29/15 our accounting called Xelon Corporation and spoke with Walter Simpson again. He said that they were waiting for payment from a customer so that they could pay us, and that should go through in the next week. At this point the invoice was 30 days overdue. On 10/20/15 our accounting followed up again because we still hadn’t received a check despite the invoice being 60 days overdue. Walter said that a payment of $750.00 had been mailed on 10/16/25, and they would send more next week. We received this check on 10/21/15, but this still left $6,500.00 that was 60 days overdue. On 10/21/15 I called Xelon Corporation to try and speak to someone in accounting directly so that we could get this invoice closed out. Walter picked up the extension for the accounting, and when I asked for someone in accounting to get it resolved, he said no one else was in the office. I asked when I could call back and talk to someone and he said that the accounting people don’t work normal hours. I asked for a contact of someone who handled the accounting for Xelon Corporation and he was unwilling to give me even a name or number. From our conversation it seems that there isn’t even anyone else in the office, and the accounting for the company was handled by some third party behind the scenes who Walter only was able to email. He said he would forward my complaints on to them, but he didn’t have any control over how invoices were paid and he couldn’t give me a person to contact to get it resolved. After Walter continued to refuse to give me any way to contact someone who actually handles the finances for his company, we ended the conversation. This is without a doubt the shadiest way of conducting business that I’ve ever come across. To sum it up, Xelon Corporation owes us thousands of dollars, but the only person who seems to work at the company is Walter Simpson. However, he says that he has no control over how invoices are paid because they are paid by some third party who works off hours and he is only able to email. If you ask to actually talk to these people, he will refuse to give you a contact. Walter mentioned that several of their other vendors are awaiting payment as well because of money issues within Xelon Corporation, so I don’t even know if we will ever see payment. If you are a vendor considering selling anything to Xelon Corporation, I would strongly recommend reconsidering, or at least receiving payment up front. ...read more

Allen & Son Appliance Repair

5.0

By Joanvely at Citysearch

My dishwasher broke down about a week ago and I contacted several of the highest-rated repair companies on the web to get it serviced. Because our dishwasher is Asko (a brand which is rare in the U.S. and, therefore, is difficult to fix), we were glad to find Allen and Sons Appliance Repair willing to check it out. \t\nI called them and they immediately sent a guy over for a service call. When I asked about the pricing, their service call fee turned out to be the cheapest ($30) and they were kind enough to provide me with a discount to our labor charge. \t\nLater during the day, Sean stopped by to check out the dishwasher and was quick to find the problem. He said that he would take the part that had sparked out, find a replacement, and return the next day to replace it. Upon the next day, he quickly replaced the sparked-out piece. And although he discovered that the motor of the dishwasher was broken, was kind enough to charge us a good rate for the service. \t\nOverall, I say that their service is pretty quick and easy to work with. And with the rarity of a European-brand repair company (such as my Asko), they're one in a million (or however many there are in Los Angeles). ...read more
