I have been going to The Van's for the past 20 years. For a great lunch I usually get a burger and beer with the works, melted cheese and crispy bacon. For dinner, I sit down for a nice steak, done on the mesquite broiler or prime rib Yum!! Holidays are also a special time to go to the Van's including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even Easter. Went for my 75th birthday dinner with 6 people. Upon making the reservations the receptionist said we will make it nice. The food was just so so. The service was very slow but more importantly the waiter was extremely rude and looked like a hippie with long gray hair! Upon getting the bill they charged $10.00 for a little scoop of ice cream that was supposed to be my birthday "free" desert. When asked the waiter he said "Oh well"! Great atmosphere! Vivace is an upscale restaurant that is quiet and very comfortable for dining. Its always crowded so its great you can still chat with your dinner companion without having to shout. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. I am looking forward to their addition of a wine tasting room since the bar area does get a little crowded. ...read more
