Nestled in the heart of the Mad River Valley our B&B; is perfectly located for a weekend break or a leisurely mid-week holiday. The Featherbed Inn property covers 20 acres of property to wander and discover the beauty of Vermont, we are minutes away from Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Ski areas. Come visit us soon! Spring and summer offer many activities such as hiking, biking, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, soaring or gliding in light planes along with polo matches. There are amazing swimming holes and grottos to explore, one specifically across route 100 from the Inn Lareau swimming hole in the Mad River. The unbelievable colors of autumn in Vermont a Fall must not to be missed, people come from all over the world to see the breathtaking colors. Upon entering the Inn, you are welcomed into a warm and inviting formal living room with a wood stove where you can sit, talk, read a good book or sip on a beverage and just chill. The Fireplace Room invites you to relax and, in the colder months, enjoy a fire in the large field stone fireplace, play a game or watch one of the many Inn movies. In the simple elegance of the sun filled dining room you will be delighted with a specialty breakfast. You will also notice a wonderful aroma of fresh-baked Featherbed pies coming from the kitchen as Tom is making his mom's handed-down recipes. Pies such as Apple, Blueberry, Pumpkin are the favorites sometimes Pecan is served on occasional Saturday afternoons for the guests. , o!
