Eye Care Center PA

Our family's used Eye Care Center for years. I've finally had it with their coercive attempts to sell overpriced glasses and extra, unnecessary services. Instead of dilating your eyes, they have a camera that can take a picture of the inside of your eye. Great tool, but not worth the extra $29 price tag. They intimidate you into buying the service then make you feel guilty if you don't. They WILL NOT give you your prescription unless you ask. The doctor walks you all the way to the eyeglass department and introduces you to a sales person...more pressure. If you get past the overpriced glasses, the clerk taking your co-pay smoothly attempts to fill your contact prescription on-the-spot with more over-priced products. She balks if you decline. An insurance mistake of theirs on my last visit caused them to yell at me on the phone and hang-up on my insurance agent when he called to verify my coverage. If you must use these people, go in with your eyes wide open! They are slick!
