I am tired of seeing these "Italian" restaurants pop-up, which provide overpriced, heavy, cheese-ladden, Americanized menus. Epiphany's is just that. Despite the overpriced selection from your typical lasagne (which I can make better at home) and the braised short ribs which were all fat and no meat, the stuffy and obnoxious service left me with a worse taste in my mouth than the food.\t\n\t\nI will say that the wine list is extensive, but none of the servers knew anything about the list or were familiar with providing food / wine pairing suggestions. \t\n\t\nTry La Ginestra's in Glen Cove if you want a true fine Italian dining experience.

Angela has the nicest and most professional restaurant you can imagine - incredibly personable, personal and attention to all the details. At the same time she's so easy-going and attentive, it just makes you wish every restaurant was overseen by such owner/operators.\t\n\t\nWe had our rehearsal dinner with 40+ people at Epiphany's, and it was delightful! The food rivalled the catering for our wedding, the venue was lovely, and in the end, we had twice the service at probably half the cost elsewhere. \t\n\t\nThe house wines are great, nothing small, and all her dishes prepared very well and in a fresh manner, nothing in her cuisine is overbearing. Our multiple experiences - both as diners as well as hosts - were perfect every time. \t\n\t\nI can only recommend Angela and her restaurant Epiphany most highly.
