Poor management/ Customer service

I am a social worker , and I have been calling Elena Gardens alomst every single day since March 2009 (and I have the telephone log to prove this). I have been told that the wait list for low income has been closed. It was the same answer I heard last week (Oct 26th thru 30th).

On Monday and Tuesday this week, an operator told me that somebody would return my call because nobody was available to answer my question. Today I call again and was told that the wait list was closed last Friday, and Jackie, the clerk, denied all the calls I have made with wrong info they provided me. I would like to bring this to the owner's attention, since I represent frail senior adults who are in need of housing and that's why I don't mind working hard for them. This needs to be investigated for any wrong doings/ dishonest behaviors in accepting applications.

Elana Gardens Not Worth Your Money

I found Elena Gardens to be a very old apartment that has had its flaws painted over manytimes too many. The apartments tend to be very hot in the summer. No installed air conditioning allowed (except for the office workers) but portables are allowed. Unfortunately, the portables tend to overload the old wiring leading to blown circuits and even outlets. Additionally, the heavy load will cause the wires to overheat, and thus the walls can to become hot to the touch (be careful). The old electrical wiring and layout design is not conducive to the many electronic items found in todays homes. Expect the doors and windows to genarally work well when you move in and not so well after a little use. It appears as though too much attention is put into the grounds keeping and too little into things that matter to those who actual live there. Expect to awake to loud grass blowers and lown mowers every Monday morning. Expect loud sirens day and night from the fire department one block away. Expect heavy local traffic to block the apartment entrance during local school pickup and dropoff times. The apartment is very children NON-Friendly. Children are often discouraged to congregate or play on the premises by local police presence. The staff is generally friendly to your face, but you get an impression that things are different when your back is turned. Parking is also very limited. My general impression is that most people will not enjoy living here and that the price for such an old facility is too much. If you need to live here, hope you do not have children or plan on living here for more than a couple of months.
