EHR HOA - needs massive improvements

I have lived in EHR for over 12 years. The past 3-5 years we have seen a complete disconnect with the Association and the community needs. The EHR HOA has made poor decisions and is now too aggressive with their "warning" letters. If it rains - you'll get a please weed warning letter. If you park on the street overnight or need your RV out for 48 hours - you'll recieve a citation. The constant paint your house or or trim you tree warnings come every single year. They have gotten way to aggressive and every month send out "warning" notices. They will find something each month. Stain on the drive way, paint chip, a weed that grew after recent rain, bicyles or toys left out...what ever it is my neighbors and I have recieved them all. I have always lived in HOA neighborhoods & this area has beautiful familes and great schools but Karen S and the other staff at EHR have turned this neigborhood into a very over policed area. Making this association a very unattractive area to live in. They need to make some serious staff changes.

Strong HOA is a good thing

The HOA fee is a bargain having been in others and one of the reasons it is a super nice area and well maintained is the HOA. People complain BUT they had trouble getting a quorum on a mail-in vote. We vote for the by-laws and the directors....participate if it matters to you. We LOVE being here and it is great value for the money.\t\n\t\nIt is a healthy place with something for everyone.\t\n

EHR is not such a friendly place to live...

WOW, apparently I'm not the only one that feels as though the CSO's are OUT OF CONTROL!!! They are on the brink of harrassment IMO! Not only that, they don't stick to their own rules completely! They give tickets & try to justify them, when there isn't anything in the HOA rules that is specific to that particular ticket. YES, I love the fact that the community is a nice community to live in but, it's no longer a comfortable community to live in when you have to worry if you are going to be fined every time you turn around! It's gotten WAY out of control & completely ridiculous! I've come to the conclusion that they target the easiest houses they can get to since ours is one of the first streets they can access. OH and one more thing...if we are paying ninety something dollars a month to live here...why on earth is it SO expensive to use the new clubhouse??? Also, when you do use it...they give you out of the time you are paying for...an hour to set up & an hour to clean up??? WTH!!! That isn't enough time to set up an event when you have to set up food, tables, decorations, etc., etc. My party imparticular was extremely LATE because not ONLY was the CSO 15 minutes late in opening the freakin thing...I had a TON of stuff to set up & the party was a 1/2 hour late! I had to have guests HELP finish setting up! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! NOPE, I'm not a big fan of the way they do things around here. Although, I am thankful that it's a nicer community & most of the people are nice, it's getting to be...not only annoying...but, very uncomfortable to live here. One more thing...it's easy to say, "don't live here then" which by the way...is a very mature answer (sarcasm)...but, just like you...I do LIVE here, I pay dues & I should have the SAME rights as everyone else in voicing my opinions! Just because you've apparently escaped the rath of the CSO's (So Far...but, you just wait)...if it were happening to you, you just might think differently! ;0)
