Surprisingly Great Experience!

I'm always hesitant to visit any type of Urgent Care Facility, I guess just thinking it's going to be like the emergency room, and I'll be nothing more than a "number" to them. There are times when you have no other choice as was the case on Christmas Eve (of course!) when my 17 month old required care for his barking cough that sprouted up in the middle of the night. I walked in 1st thing in the morning and they got me in right away. I didn't have to wait to check in, be taken back, or for the doctor to see me. EVERYONE was extremely friendly and professional, taking plenty of time with me, explaining ALL of my options and answering questions. The doctor also took into consideration that it was a holiday and gave me treatments there in the office, as well as sending me home with the necessary tools to treat at home for the rest of the weekend. I can't tell you how surprised and happy I was when I left the office! \t\n\t\nThe only thing I don't like is that you can't contact the office "directly". You have to call a national number for scheduling. There's no personal touch to that at all, and it took them several months (just received the bill in May) to process my insurance. \t\n\t\nAside from that, it was a great experience and I will definitely use them in the future should the need arise!

Avoid this facility

My wife is a professional speaker/singer, who lost her voice after a performance in DC. She had another show the next day in TX, and two more the next week, so she went to NextCare on Lynn Rd. since her regular doctor's office was closed. The doctor at NextCare told her she should use steam and not talk or sing for two weeks. When she tried to explain that that wasn't an option for her, he said "I TOLD you what to do" and stood up and walked out of the room. She felt totally belittled and disrespected.
