Okay, it's finally moving day and you set your alarm to wake up early so you can be ready when the movers arrive. Guess what? There not coming. Has this ever happened to you? Many moving companies will over book, and yes, they forgot to call to let you know there scheduling error. If your lucky, you should be able to find a moving company with same day service. If the company wants to charge you a premium, call another company. If you hire movers and you are not comfortable with the crew they sent you, yes this does happen, discreetly call the company and ask to speak to the operations manager. Inform him of the problems your having and tell him you want another crew, or you want a manager to visit the site and talk to the crew. We all hate moving, but if you research the companies you hire, and remember, your the boss, you should get through the move without having a nervous breakdown. My name is Tim Gray, and I am the President of Moving by Design, in Houston Texas. I have been in the industry as a mover and business owner for over 30 years.
