Will getting a car permit/License increase tax? I wanted to get my permit and then license as soon as possible. My mom however says by driving there will be an increase on tax she has to pay. Is my car insurance expensive? I have a 2008 Passat and my husband has a 2010 Nissan Sentra. We have used the same car insurance co for years and know the owners/agents well. Before I was paying $255 for my 2003 Jetta and the Nissan and now it shot way up to $283. My husband has some tickets from the past,out of state. And my driving record is so far good. Auto insurance broker fee in CA? Hi I live in CA i just bought a new 2012 hyundai and went to get insurance through Freeway Insurance and I signed up for a 12 month premium with Farmers they did not tell me anything about a broker fee until after i signed all the paperwork.
