MILLERS AUCTIONEER SERVICES

I would NOT recommend Kyle Miller with Black Hat Auction. We are from Kansas City and did not have time to check him out. He did our auction yesterday......I had called him a week earlier to confirm everything and told him that pictures of two bedrooms were not anywhere on any websites. On Fri the 24th of October, we met and he told us those pictures had gotten deleted. We set up that we would meet him at the house at 6 am, Sat, the day of sale.....he wanted us to be there at 5am, but HE said, okay, NO LATER than 6am. We got there at 5:40am.....6:15am rolled by and no Kyle......6:45am rolled by......7:15am rolled by......and by this time I had called him a couple of times and no answer, and had confirmed with one of his workers that had shown up at 7:10am it was Kyle's cell number. He finally showed up at 7:45am. The sale was to start at 10am. No way without our help he would have ever gotten everything out and actually he never did. Told him when he showed up he needed to get a lot of help over there and he said he had no one to call. He didn't put the signs out until 9:30am. Two of the buyers there told me he did not have a following and that a good buyer was not coming to our auction because of who the auctioneer was.....known as rude and moody!! He STARTED with the items that everyone would have stayed around to purchase instead of leaving them until last, like even an average auctioneer would have done. Another "unclassy" thing my husband saw him do was light up a cigarette while he was auctioning. He was totally rude when we settled up and I heard him tell his help...."if they're mad, let them stay mad, I don't care!" That's his entire attitude and actions, "I DON"T CARE!" WARNING, do NOT use BLACK HAT AUCTION!! THANK YOU for listening!! Best of luck to you on an auction with another auctioneer! ...read more

My mom and I saw the Drew's Chocolate sign on the interstate on the way to Des Moines last weekend. We decided to check it out. ( and boy are we glad we did!) We were given a toffee crunch and a sea salt caramel to sample. I ended up getting a box of each. My mom and I ate almost both boxes before we made it to Des Moines. Our cousins devoured the rest. You can now guess what we did on the way home to Omaha. We stopped and bought some more. I know now what I'm giving all my fellow workers for Christmas. ...read more
