Congratualtions!  You have decided to become an Entrepreneur but what are your steps to successfully running a profitable business.  You have purchased dozens of books and spent countless hours in some start-up business classes in hopes that the information you gather will assist in your success.  In reality, there is one true way to know if you are ready to be the next CEO, that is reflecting your personal lifestyle.

This means asking yourself three personable questions and being honest with yourself.

How responsible are you?

What is your discipline level?

What measures your drive when obtaining what you want?

If you can answer these three questions in a positive direction, you are ready to be the next CEO. Below are some helpful tips that can help you prepare for your new venture:

1.  Gather a balance between personal and work.  In the intial phase, work will come first, then personal. As a business owner you will spend long work hours getting your business positioned to become profitable.  Remember you are the boss, there will be no one standing over you to make sure you get to work and that the work is done.  The phrase, "The early bird catches the worm," is a true, the more hours you put into your company the more organized, professional and successful it will become.

2. Have Financial Plan.  Getting into business takes time and preparation.  There maybe months before you actually began to see a profit.  Therefore budgeting yourself to determine what it takes financially to operate your business while supporting your life style is a must.

3. Learn the Industry.  When providing a quality service or product, customers value the knowledge and expertise that you have in that particular area.  To stay ahead of competitiors constant research and updating in your industry in always a plus to a successful business.

And finally,

4.  Have a Niche.  In the wonderful world of competition, everyone has product or service that is simply the best thing since apple pie.  You have to stand out from the rest.  This when to pull out your creative side, I know you think your creative side maybe dark and weird to others but in reality it could be the very one thing that sets you apart.  So by all means get trendy with your business, add a twist to that excellent customer service.
