My husband and I just moved to the area last September and needed some advice on what plants do well here. The staff was so helpful and seem to be knowledgeable when it comes to trees and plants they carry. I ordered a large apple tree at the end of March and it looked as if it were having a hard time right away, so I called and asked what to do and Moon Valley advised more watering, which I did faithfully. But...when the summer heat hit at the end of May, the tree started dying. I called again, and they advised to increase watering, but it still died. A few days past the 90-day warranty, I called and sent photos of a very dead tree, feeling sure that they wouldn't do anything for me. I spoke with Brett, and he offered to replace the tree! I was and am still very impressed with the service and price for moon valley's trees. They came to my house for FREE to design my yard and came out to plant. I’m glad because my ground is really hard to dig in. Then the driver gave me great advice on how to water my new plant. I am very happy with their service and follow through. Winter time has a lot of frosty nights and it killed 4 of my trees. I was mortified - in the course of one winter, almost half of my purchase was shot, and Moon Valley certainly had no obligation to do anything except sell me new trees. Figuring I had nothing to lose but a little dignity, I approached them and explained my situation, and they looked us up in the computer. To my surprise, they were more than reasonable and we worked out an extremely fair deal. I spoke with salesman - great guy! We also approached the manager to see if they could help me. We were able to come to a more than reasonable solution, and without a lot of hassle. These guys are customer-centric, and I really appreciate how they handled the situation and stood behind their products.
