Monarch Medical Clinic

This is my history (I shouldn't do this research before going there, I moved to Katy, tx on November of 2011. My insurance have me this Dr office as PCP. I called and schedule an appointment over the phone and they gave me one for the following week, I told them that I don't have the insurance card yet since I just moved they have not arrived yet and they said no problem as long as I have the Id number (which I did) appointment date came, took my three kids out from school, ( one which it was sick that date) and went to this office, at soon I get there and try to sign in they told me they will not see me unless I have the actual card. I ended up in emergency room since my son had been so sick. When my card finally arrived I schedule another app there (I shouldn't but I did it) did the same process (took the kids from school, this time my youngest was having an asthma episode and I though it will be a perfect moment for the doctor to see him, since we just moved I didn't have that much albuterol) went to this terrible office and at soon as was trying to sign in (again) they said they were not accepting new patient, I went nuts . Why did it they didnt tell me that over the phone so I can find other doctor, they gave me an app again, make take my jids from school again with a sick child for nothing? How disrespectful was that? What are they thinking? I really feel like complaining (and I will. BBB or wherever I will make at least noise) luckily I call this office just across the street and they understood my anger, saw my son and prescribed the most need it medicine for my son. PLEASE LISTEN DON'T GO TO MONARC MEDICAL CLINIC from the reviews I read there is more cons than prons it must befit som something I wish I read before.

I know that sometimes doctor offices can get backed up but what I experienced today was rediculous. My appt. was for 10 a.m. and I got there at 9:45. I gave my ID and Insurance card and I sat and waited and waited ....watching people get seen that came in AFTER me. I was finally called back about 10:45 and got my B.P and temp checked. That took 2 minutes. Then I waited another 30 minutes to finally see the Dr. (Leslie Allison). I wanted something mild for anxiety and not only did he not prescribe me anything...he orders me to take x-rays, CT scan, full blood workup. For what??? The blood lab is there but don't take my insurance (Cigna) but the office itself took it. Go figure??? I think the Dr was in the room with me for all of 3 minutes!!!! When I tried to ask questions, he made me feel like I was a bother to him and was in a hurry. I HIGHLY recommend chosing a different office if you need a dr. Very poor service, care, and organization!!!!

Dr. Allison may be a good Dr. but he definatley does not know how much work he can take on! OVERBOOKED-Waiting room is always crowded and cramped. You WILL WAIT atleast 45 min.s from your app. time to see him or even to get a room. Childrens waitng room his cluttered and messy and the toys are never cleaned and always broken. Dr. Allison is in and out of the small exan room in less that 10 min tops! He rarley looks at you. I have been waiting for two months for them to fax over my childrens recods to a new PCP. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DR!
