I would not trust my vehicle with these guys under any circumstances, given how they drive. This morning one of their tow truck drivers (plate #FR6720) almost caused multiple accidents. First he came whipping around through one of the U-turn spaces on 74E from 74W, and instead of making sure traffic is clear before merging back on the highway he just whipped around and right back on, forcing me into my left lane. Fortunately it was empty or I would have been in an accident. He then drove up to at least 80mph (in a 55-60mph zone), getting his front bumper a few inches from the rear bumpers of any unfortunate soul who was in front of him. I will admit I followed the guy to get the company name and his plate number so I could let his manager know how his driver was handling his vehicle.
When I called the manager this morning, he simply told me he was not there, so he does not know what happened, but I am welcome to talk to the driver. I could not believe that. It is the manager's job to deal with his people. I have been a manager in a company with drivers, and if someone took the special time out of their morning to call to issue a complaint, especially a complaint that involved my driver risking not only company equipment but also others' safety as well as my company's reputation, you can bet I would have a talk with that driver. The manager told me the driver told him that I cut him off, therefore the manager was powerless. I was floored.
If the manager of this company is not concerned that people are reporting his drivers, in company vehicles, driving recklessly, I cannot trust them. If they can't take responsibility for their own drivers, I cannot imagine they would give two squirts about my vehicle.
